I used this for my recent travels to the UK. It was helpful to have a reference, where I used to confirm more than plan my intended activities. As I was traveling with a larger family, I have limits which were not as well addressed by this book. My observation was this guide is better suited for individuals and couples. Overall it was an affordable means to have confidence is what I was doing.
The Kindle Version of this book was not formatted correctly when it came to listings such as restaurants, hotels, etc. I had to return it. What a disappointment.
Exceptionally informative and has many detailed maps....overall layout very clear....
We've always used Rick Steves guides but I read a lot of reviews and got this one instead. It is amazingly clear, concise and thorough.
Planning for our summer trip. Love the Lonely Planet, have used for all my international travel.
Formatting issue for this edition on kindle. Make it really hard to read.
Did not have a lot of detail about the suburban counties outside London, eg Berkshire. I would suggest adding those areas.
This guide is very easy to read and navigate. Well organized and thought out. Would definitely purchase it again.
