We definitely needed this on our recent trip to Ireland. We rented a car and also used a Garmin but this came in very handy to help the Garmin pick the right paths. (You don't want to take the white minor roads!!!!)
This is a great planning map, as it has symbols for castles, monuments, churches, abbeys and other places of interest. It was a great resource during my recent visit to Ireland, too.
As large as the road map is, the intersections between the M Inter-country Highways and N Highways were not clear. On some areas the identifiers were not concisely placed. Room for improvement. Unless you confirm/ arrange with your mobile provider that you have service in the foreign country, you cannot depend on the GPS, auto or mobile, nor the hit/miss internet service.
Very detailed map, very helpful on our 10 day trip. We couldn't have enjoyed our Ireland trip without it. Very durable. We used it every day.
Bought this map, cut the cover off, and tacked it to my office wall so we could cover it with sticky notes during out trip planning. It’s a good size for that. Have fun in Ireland, it’s beautiful!
Exactly what I was looking for - a map that was big enough for me to see a lot of detail, but not so big and bulky that I wouldn't take it with me.
This map, although thorough is disappointing as it is too large and thereby awkward to hold comfortably. It also tears easily along the creases.
Detailed enough, fairly easy to read. Paper could have been thicker, but it will last the trip. Tourist spots clearly marked.
